How Well Are You Thriving? Assess Your Flourishing
Thank you for joining the Flourishing Challenge!
Flourishing is the gold standard for measuring well-being. It is a multi-dimensional concept that refers to the process of making an active effort to pursue key well-being areas such as positive emotion, engagement, relationships, meaning, and accomplishment. We are grateful to have you join us on this journey.
Researchers from Harvard University have designed a Flourishing test that helps us assess how much we are flourishing in our lives. Their research and assessment closely relates to 6 main areas:
(1) Happiness and Life Satisfaction
(2) Mental and Physical Health
(3) Meaning and Purpose
(4) Character and Virtue
(5) Close Social Relationships
(6) Financial and Material Stability
You can now assess your flourishing levels using Harvard's assessment via 7 Cups here - the results will help you keep track of which areas you are doing well in, as well as areas that you can improve in.
The best part is that this current Flourishing Challenge explores all of the above-mentioned areas! We hope your experience at 7 Cups helps you thrive more.
You can keep track of your flourishing levels by exploring your personal private timeline (click here) and comparing your flourishing level progress - remember, flourishing may have its ups and downs but the key here is to keep doing small things for your overall wellness journey! We will retake the flourishing test throughout this challenge and you can also take it at regular 2-week intervals if you like. This is a glimpse of what the timeline results display looks like:
Feel welcome to reflect on your results in this thread. Which flourishing areas are you most looking forward to improving in?
Super grateful for this project, thank you very much @SoulfullyAButterfly 🦋💙 This results seem spot on for me, as I actively avoid social relationships at times and focus more on work and studies 😔 I'm excited and open to learning how to makes my necessary improvements
@SoulfullyAButterfly Uh, I'm just gonna leave this here and deal with it later 😅😳 but low-key knew I had some work to do based on this past year's situation. Regardless, thank you again for this challenge. I can't wait to learn and grow in the next few weeks.
What an interesting challenge! Thanks for this @SoulfullyAButterfly

Seems legit. Thank you for this, team :)
@SoulfullyAButterfly
How do i take this test? I don't see a link to one?
@Notsogoodtoday
Nevermind i found the link.
Hello,
I have done the test and the result I get is I think kinda what expected and makes sense. I also get to know which area that I need to really give more focus on. I think the flourishing ares that I am most looking forward to improve is everyyy areas😄 but perhaps if I have to choose which one I would want to start focusing first will be number 3)Meaning and Purpose.
@SoulfullyAButterfly yesterday I tried just to see what it is, and some answer were just clicked whatever. Today I wanted to do it correctly but I couldn't repeat. I refresh and the result was gone 😅
Is there anyway to start the quiz over?
I'm happy and flourishing at the moment, but I think a lot of that has to do with the mindfulness support discussions and huddle that I've been participated in this past year. I still need to work on my character and virtue. I'll admit that stung a bit to see that result. I failed on:
"I always act to promote good in all circumstances, even in difficult and challenging situations." I'm an ENTJ-A and I can be quite cutting at times. I support the good of the group and put others above myself, but when someone messes up the strategy/plan or fails to do their part, I'm not as kind as I should be. I'm not very emotional, so I sometimes fail to consider others' feelings.
I'm always working on my diplomacy skills! I'm just not there, YET!
"I am always able to give up some happiness now for greater happiness later." I can do that for many things, but at the time I was thinking about food. I eat bad stuff now rather than eating a healthy diet and enjoying the happiness of being healthy, which often shows up later.
I'm surprised at some of the low numbers from people who usually seem so happy and fulfilled on here. I hope you don't feel like you have to support/shore up others when you're feeling down yourself. I also hope you'll reach out for support when you need it. ❤️
