Our April monthly theme will be "Nurturing Inner Strengths" - visit this post to stay up to date on daily prompts and weekly themes related to this month's theme!

Week 1: Embracing Self-Compassion

Day 1 - Begin the week by reflecting on a moment when you showed kindness to yourself. How did it feel, and what did you learn from this experience?

Day 2 - Identify one self-critical thought you often have. Challenge this thought by writing down three compassionate responses to counter it.

Day 3Reflect on a time when you struggled with self-compassion. What barriers or obstacles did you face in offering yourself kindness and understanding? Explore ways you can overcome these barriers in the future.

Day 4 - Think about someone you care about deeply. Imagine they are struggling with the same challenge you face. What words of kindness and support would you offer to them? Now, turn these words of kindness inward and offer them to yourself.

Day 5 (Weekend Exploration): Gather images, quotes, and affirmations that can lead to feelings of self-compassion and well-being. This can be a great addition to your self-care toolbox. Feel welcome to share what you end up gathering, and/or how your prioritizing self-compassion has made you feel.

Week 2: Emotional Resilience

Day 1 Share a recent moment that brought you joy or made you laugh. Reflect on how moments of positivity contribute to your emotional resilience and well-being.

Day 2 - Take a few moments to practice deep breathing or mindfulness meditation. Notice how these techniques help you stay grounded and present in the face of daily challenges. Do you think including mindfulness into your daily routine might be helpful?

Day 3 Recall a time when you received support from friends, family, or a community. How did their encouragement and empathy boost your emotional resilience? Consider reaching out to someone today to express gratitude or offer support.

Day 4 - Reflect on a past experience of failure or disappointment. How did you navigate through these emotions, and what lessons did you learn from the experience? Discuss how failure can be a stepping stone towards growth and resilience.

Day 5/Weekend ActivityEngage in a creative activity that allows you to express yourself freely, whether through art, writing, or music. Notice how creative expression can serve as a coping mechanism and outlet for emotions

Week 3: Mindfulness in Daily Life

Day 1 - Reflect on a recent moment when you were fully present and engaged in the present moment. How did practicing mindfulness in that moment contribute to your sense of well-being?

Day 2 What is a strength that you admire about yourself? Can being more mindful about it help you use this strength more often? Share how that might help you.

Day 3Take a moment to identify one aspect of yourself that you've been hesitant to embrace or explore fully. How can you embrace this aspect to experience growth?

Day 4Write a list of affirmations that celebrate your inner strengths and unique qualities, such as "I am resilient," and "I am capable of overcoming any obstacle.” Throughout the day, intentionally incorporate these affirmations into your thoughts and actions, allowing them to guide you towards greater self-acceptance and empowerment. How do affirmations that focus on your strengths help you?

Day 5/Weekend Reflections: How can we practice more mindfulness in our daily lives? Reflect on any insights you have gained and set intentions for the upcoming week.

Week 4: Connections and Community

Day 1 Reflect on a meaningful conversation you've had recently. What made it special, and how did it contribute to your sense of connection with others?

Day 2Practice a random act of kindness for someone today. It could be as simple as offering a compliment, holding the door open, or sending a thoughtful message. How do these small acts help us have a sense of connection and community?

Day 3Reflect on a moment when you've allowed yourself to be vulnerable with someone you trust. Vulnerability can be a manifestation of our inner strength and can help us to utilize our connections and community for support.

Day 4 Have you ever collaborated with others? This could be part of a community project or other initiatives. How does working together help you amplify your strengths? Reflect on what belonging to a team or community means to you. This could also be a reflection of your time on 7 Cups :)

Today eye showed kindness to myself. Relighting my flame to teach yoga and to dig deeper into my practice. Giving myself a moment to bask in my mission on why eye wanted to begin in the first place. That type of kind hearted love I needed to pour into myself today highly!!! ❤️🩷 Namaste yall 🙌🏾☀️ Happy April

@SoulfullyAButterfly I showed kindness to myself today by taking time out from my day to give myself time to breathe. Sometimes I feel overwhelmed and keep pushing until I shut down. But this morning I stopped for an hour to just breathe and tell myself that I'm doing the best I can.

Today I confirmed finally to myself that things are going to be ok and anytime a problem arises I'm not left to face it alone. It's ok to be receptive to the help and comfort others are trying to give and not feel vulnerable, or too exposed.

I admire my persistence. If I have to figure out a problem at work I will be relentless at trying to figure out how to solve it. I don't give myself enough credit for the good things I do. When I start having intrusive thoughts I need to remind myself that I can overcome them.

I need to remind myself that I'm a good person!
