Doubt diagnosis
I don’t even agree with my diagnosis and have stopped taking some of my medication as a result. I don’t trust medical providers in the least.
@Rooney2112 Diagnosis often seems to involve some guesswork, and different doctors often have very different opinions.
Are you going to try to get a new diagnosis that matches your situation better? And maybe better medication too? Or do you feel you're better off without medical interventions?
If you'd like to chat about your situation, feel free to message me.

Hello? Past me? Is that you? I was misdiagnosed for years. Hated and mistrusted all drs and meds. So I quit it all: psychiatrists, psychologists, medications - for over 20 years. I won’t tell what happened in between, but finally at 42 when I was sick of the way my life was I am now properly diagnosed (bipolar 1 w/rapid cycles) seeing a psychologist (not the right one - hate him, he’s bout to be dumped but doesn’t know it) and am on meds. Not the right cocktail yet, but we’re working on it. Still hate my meds, but I take them. Still won’t see a psychiatrist. If I bought in sooner I could have saved myself and all of those who love me a lot of trouble. But you know, shoulda, coulda, woulda. At least I’m out here surviving.
