cold turkey
Hello guys ♡
Im facing a rather stupid problem.... i fall into cycles of: being a mess, taking my medications, getting better, going cold turkey again because the meds make me feel slow and i feel like i dont need them and eventually needing them again and all over again...
I dont know how to help myself break the pattern...
Amy ideas folks???

Hello. I don't think it is a stupid problem at all. I feel you are brave to acknowledge it as a problem and seek solutions. Maybe you can have someone who can keep you accountable for adherence during those times you feel lax in compliance. Or maybe you can use one of those daily medication dosage kits and fill it a month at a time with a determination to meet your goals. I'm sorry you are dealing with this situation. Danny
I've struggled with being on and off my meds too because of not liking how they made me feel. Through the years I've had to change up my meds to figure out what works best for my mind and body. It's been a few years since the last time I got off my meds. What helps me to keep taking my meds is reminding myself that I'll spiral if I stop taking them. I feel terrible when I'm off my meds, so that reminder motivates me to stay on them. It's the medication that's helping me to be stable, so I keep taking my meds to avoid psychosis.
Stay on mine now, I use to do that and it got me no where, it was a constant struggle when I went off my meds, so now I stay on them even when I feel better, because when I go off them I don't feel better in the end im miserable 😖
ty guys for all your answers <3
its been a bit wild over here (mentally wise) and so i'm currently on 4 meds (on generous dosages) and im questioning if its worth it
Cutie, always take your meds! Remind yourself they’re WHY you feel better.
