Trying this new thing.
So my doctor wants me to start therapy before he will up the dose on my meds. I thought the best thing for me is online therapy in a group setting so I don't feel so alone with my bipolar 2. I'm not sure how this app helps but I can never get a listener to respond to me. My question is, is the subscription really worth it?
@sunnyDay4397 Hi. It can be hard to get connected to a listener here sometimes. Listeners are volunteers and sometimes not enough of us to respond to requests. I hope you find some warm support here but it may take some time.
@sunnyDay4397 At 7 Cups you can pay to message a professional therapist 1-to-1, but there is no therapy in group settings. We also have free support groups, but they are run by volunteers and they are not therapy.
To get a listener to respond to you, go to Browse Listeners and choose anyone who has a green blob and a Chat Now button. Note that listeners are volunteers, not professional therapists.
You might be able to find professionally run online groups if you search the Internet. I know someone (not at 7 Cups) who takes part in one, so they definitely exist.
