Best thing to have in a sensory room π
I'm moving house and I want to have a sensory space, so I need some ideas on the best things to have in a sensory room/space! Let me know your ideas! Thanks β€οΈ

I think that a sensory space is best when it is specifically designed for individual needs and depending on age. I like when it includes different equipment to engage all senses. I like simple musical instruments and Connetix tiles! There are so many ways to use them and it boosts creative development.

Oooh, a sensory room sounds great! My favourite sensory items are my weighted blanket, colour changing lights (that I can control from my phone), scent diffuser, soft blankets and squishy pillows, and many stim toys (my favourite are the tactile ones). I might get a lava lamp soon too.
Anything that brings you sensory joy is what you should add, it doesn't even need to specifically be a traditional 'sensory' item. Something for each of your senses.
A sensory room is an awesome idea. Wish I had the space. I would put in a swing or hammock with old books for smelling.
Oh I also just love the smell of books π, more than any food or perfume.
What makes you feel best? Go for it, no matter how it may seem. I personally love a dark room with things to brighten up the space like LED lights or maybe a cool lamp. Sometimes the things I choose make sense to no one but then they end up thinking its pretty cool. Doesn't matter. It's my space! They were just invited lol. I also like big mats, fluffy pillows, and having a large whiteboard so I can jot out things I may be thinking or forget. Yes! For me, books are definitely a bonus.ο»Ώ
