Daily ways you help yourself cope

Hi everyone,
I am wondering what you all do to make sure you are moving forward and progressively positively mentally. One thing I have been doing is exercise more regularly, and it is definitely helping, but I would like to add some new things to my daily self-help regimen.
Thanks for sharing if you do :)

@busyemptymind Thanks for the awesome post! I am delighted to hear that exercising is helping so far; it certainly benefits us both physically and mentally.
I like to do self reflection (i.e. try to reframe negative thoughts, be optimisitc). I'm not much of an exercise person, but I find yoga to be both helpful and enjoyable.

@busyemptymind Hey! It's so great that you've found exercise helpful. I find that having a self-care routine around bed time can be very helpful for calming down and setting the tone for a healthy night's sleep. For example, having a cup of herbal tea, reading, listening to a soothing guided meditation, anything you find relaxing

@busyemptymind What I've done is collect a playlist of songs that I call "Calm My Head." First chance I get once I start feeling like I'm losing control, I find a private place where I can put on one of the songs on that playlist and I just only focus on that. It's almost all calm, simple, melodic music.
@lavenderWillow4773 wow this is an awesome idea. Thank you for sharing! Music can be such an amazing escape.

@busyemptymind Thanks. It's a constant for me.

@busyemptymind Thanks for sharing your experience

I love all of the ideas listed! They are fantastic! One thing you might try is journaling . . . Would be happy to walk with you on this journey.

Thank you!

It's really great that exercising is working fine for you.. Thanks for that great post.. :)
For me i listen to a recitation of a chapter from the holy Quran and pray specially before bed time.. Also Making Sujud "Putting my forehead on the ground" is one of the most soothing and peaceful moments i can experience specially when i feel that things are not going fine.. :)

@busyemptymind Thank you for such a nice post :)

Other than being around and socializing with someone, coloring books are the only thing that has really worked for me.
