anxiety is making me self destruct at work

comfortingrainbow April 17th, 2020

I have pretty bad social anxiety that has only gotten worse bc of the pandemic. My work changed to working from home. I work with people who live in apartments and am supposed to reach out to 3-5 people per day and see how they're doing and how I can help them.

the thought of reaching out to so many people has made my anxiety completely sky rocket like never before and I just haven't been able to do my work. The anxiety is just too much that it overwhelms me and I don't do any work. The month is almost over and I'm so behind on everything. Which of course gives me more anxiety.

I'm stressed out more than ever before and have no idea what I can do.

@comfortingrainbow if I were you, I'd be completely candid with your boss about how your work is currently impacting your mental health. Perhaps they can change your role around a bit to acccommodate to your needs? ❤

Please know that we're here for you during this difficult time 🙏🏻 I hope you're keeping well.

@Jem7Cups Thank you. I was actually debating on telling my boss how I'm feeling and I think I will. My boss is very understanding and kind most of the time so hopefully she'll be understanding about this.
