Struggling with anxiety.

I've had constant anxiety this week. I had to take a mental health day on Tuesday because I just felt so drained. A little better since then, but I've felt anxious all day. I've cycled through a panic attack, sadness for myself, then angry because this keeps happening, and now I'm exhausted from feeling all of these emotions. I'm in therapy but I just don't follow advice very well because it just seems so...superficial? I don't know how else to help myself. Anxiety is the worst.

Hey there, @azureBalsam4525

I hope all is well on your end lately! I'm sorry to hear that you've been really struggling with anxiety lately. It's great that you took a day off to take care of your mental health! We often take the day off when we are physically sick but it can be easy to over look our mental health sometimes. It's definitely tiring to deal with all those emotions, I hear where you are coming from for sure, your feelings are valid.

Here are some resources that you might find helpful on dealing with Anixety:

- Anxiety Support Subcommunity: https://www.7cups.com/home/anxiety/

- Anxiety Self Help Guide: https://www.7cups.com/anxiety-help/

As for therapy, I hear that you are finding it hard to follow what is suggested while at therapy. Is this something you think you are open to dicussing with your therapist? There are many models/ways to engage in therapy and perhaps you just have not yet found the one that works for you? Being open about this can help your therapist adjust their approach or refer you to someone who they find might be better suited to help you feel supported!

We are always here for you at 7 Cups! heart
