Never ending health anxiety
I’ve never experienced anxiety like this. I know a large part of it is trying to find a medication that works for me and the last one being very wrong. Every time I seem to push through one anxiety, it changes and something else worries me. It went from heart problems, to blood pressure, to now thinking that I’m breathing too shallow. I’ve dealt with anxiety since I was about 9 and I’m now 21 and these past few weeks have been the absolute worse I’ve ever felt. It’s daily, never ending, foggy thinking and worry. Any tips or tricks that help would be greatly, greatly appreciated.

Hello and thank you for reaching out 💛
That sounds really rough to go through :(
I think what this site can do for you, is to give you a chat partner when you feel like you are spiraling with your anxiety. You can also choose your listeners by the tag on the listeners page or join group chats.
That said, for me watching TV works quite well to call me down as it is a good distraction. Is there an activity that brings you comfort/distraction when you start to feel overwhelmed?
I understand how frustrating that it can be I used to have terrible health anxiety as well when I was younger I was constantanly at the doctor's. But I just reminded myself if something was wrong with me I don't think having a panic attack was all it was going to cause. Nothing else was happening. Now I am older and still have moments where I notice every change in my body a tiny pain can send me into a panic attack but I take a deep breath and remember nothing else is happening to me.
We can talk more about this in private if you want to!

Sounds like we two are in the same boat.
I too have health anxiety and it tends to cripple me at times.
There is always something or the other that worries me. I don't know if i'm overthinking and making myself suffer or there is actually something wrong with me everytime.
I got my heart condition checked but i still feel discomfort and pain in my chest at times. My husband says its gastritis but i think i have a heart disease.
My knee pains but my husband thinks im exaggerating.
Oh god.
Something or the other is always there.
My sister got HPV test done. I thought what if i have the virus and i should get myself tested too. I almost passed out from anxiety. After 5 torturous days my results came out and it was negative.
Then i thought what is wrong with me why do i do this to myself!!

Hello, thank you for sharing this.
I think chatting about this and connecting with a listener will help. Personally, I like to draw when i am anxious, Anxiety is something that is super complex so it is hard to overcome but i think with the right listener you can start to learn ways to cope. Wish you luck x.

Hello, thank you for sharing this! It sounds really frustrating and rough to go through ):
You can always reach me at @Bladderwhale. Always happy to listen.
However, here is my fav to go list - Whenever anxiety comes up, I need your to focus on ONE OBJECT. Afterwards focus on ANOTHER OBJECT followed by another object. (E.g., I looked at the blue ball, afterwards at the red ball and followed by other balls). This method is proven to reduce anxiety because of the focus on looking at the balls. Do try it :)
Hi. I'm brand new here. I've had life long depression and anxiety, undiagnosed to my 20s. Now, I find out I have PTSD and Bipolar 2. I feel like even broken people don't understand me.
I'm so glad to read ur post. I totally understand the extreme anxiety and major brain fog lately. What helps me be organized and reduce stress is to write every small task on post-its with a box to check or color/half-fill if partially done. I even put regular menial tasks, and I feel like I've accomplished so much. I've also been more productive than ever.
Hope that helps some. Hang in there, brave warrior!
