So Im 16 and next year Ill be moving out to attend university and its scary as hell. My stress levels have been through the roof lately. The prospect of going from full time highschool, living with parents to attending university, living alone with a bunch of strangers, holding a job, balancing schoolwork, making enough time for my boyfriend and actually knowing what I want to do with my life is way too much. Man, the thought of it makes me want to just go to college ;/ itd be so much easier...

Anyone whos been through this, is it as bad as it seems??

The fault is those who did not prepare you for this moment...I went through it alone my whole life, howevever both your parents, friends and relatives could have helped you normally and mildly through all this, the glitch is that no one cares, once your tuition is payed your parents erase you...

Naturally you will find friends, even disgustive reclusive nerds like me did in different countries, so you will manage to pass a "biiig" hurdle like this aren't you😉

Starting your first year of university or college is stressful no matter what age. It's fine to be scared, but also look at it as a time to be excited for something new. My first year of college was amazing and I wouldn't trade it in for anything. I met people from all over the country, made more friends than I ever had in high school, and had fun just learning about life and being able to take different classes.

It's scary, but try to open yourself up to the experience. You said your parents are supportive - that's awesome. Go knowing that they're there for you. And the one thing that you should always remember is that this transition isn't permanent. What I mean is - you don't have to go to university forever. Perhaps you'll decide it really isn't right for you and you won't continue. Perhaps you'll love it and fly through it, learning what you want to do afterward along the way.

It's going to be okay.
