I have been overwhelmed constantly for years
I have so many things to do. I can't keep track of anything. I try to make lists but I always lose them. I can't focus on a single task for more than a few moments. My inability to function has caused me so many panic attacks. I've lived in my house for three years and I still haven't finished moving in. I am so overwhelmed. I don't know where to put anything. I don't know where to find anything. This house has caused me so much pain and anxiety that I want to start over, but I cannot sell it. I'm so lost and I don't know what to do.
@DefectusTristus Hello 🙂 First things first, take a deep breath. Life sure can be overwhelming, there's always so much that needs to be done and sometimes we try to do too much all at once.
I'm a big fan of lists myself but sometimes they do get lost. If you can, maybe get a dry erase marker board that you can write lists on. Maybe you could separate things into days and by priority?
With unpacking, maybe you could pick one box per day and anything you're not sure where to put you could have a separate box for to put them in for later. I think for most places the kitchen is the heart of the house, so perhaps that would be a good room to start with?
