Anxiety Issues - 5 months still not 100%

Been on anxiety medication for 5 months now, then up'd the dose during the last month, it does not seem to work for my anxiety (or not as much as i hoped anyway) Anybody else had this experience?

Hey Rob :) I'm sorry to hear the medication you're on isn't helping. Has your therapist considered switching you to something else? Five months seems like a long time to wait for anxiolyticsto have effect. I'm on Zoloft and it's working pretty well for me. I hope you'll find a satisfactory solution soon. Good luck!

Thanks guys, the docs keep saying give it 6 months, i dont think another month can make that much difference, im going to go for a chat and try something different i think, when you start new tablets do those side effects kick in, or does the citalopram in my system minimise these? because the side effect to citalopram were bad for the first month....

I feel sorry for hearing that your medication is not working. I hope you could find another way to deal with your anxiety soon. Although we don't know each other, you got my support and I wish you will get well.

If there are side effects thats hard for you, you should inform your doc about it and ask if there is an alternative medicine.
