Fear of Outdoors and Interacting with other people
I am afraid of being in unescapable situations in general. It’s been 6 year since I have been living with agoraphobia. I watched my young years going to waste as I have been rotting inside my home. I was diagnosed with it only 2 years ago. I could rarely get out of my home alone. Everytime I get out by my own I panic. I got many therapies including CBT, I am trying to expose myself to the situations in which I feel uncomfortable but that doesn’t seem to help. It’s been really difficult for me because I can’t feel certain emotions anymore. Are there any agoraphobia success stories out there?

Dear enjoysilence, I feel very sorry for your experience.
Overcoming obstacles is difficult for everyone, but I promise that there are ways to solve it. Your experience reminds me of a virtual youtuber called Sonny Brisko, and I would like to tell you about him. Sonny has a even more serious "home squat" than you. He shakes when talking to others and is too frightened to throw up. His uncle even bought him a book called "How to Cure Squatting at Home". After he became an adult, he had an argument with his mother and was kicked out of his home. Sonny's family was living in Japan after Sonny's graduating from university, and Sonny did not know many Japanese at that time. Thus, it was extremely hard for him to find a job. He used to wander in Japan without a place to rest. Luckily, his friend was willing to take him in. Sonny told us that he used to be very lost, sad, and cried so many nights. However during this time, he worked very hard and tried to break through himself. Now, he is able to talk to others fluently and has over 140, 000 followers!
I hope you will get better in the future.
