Whenever I finish a task I keep thinking if I did it well and I take like 5 minutes just reflecting on it which takes a lot of my time away. Is there any way to stop overthinking about tasks?
@KevinRodriguez Hey there 🌼
I totally get how overthinking tasks can feel draining. The fact that you’re aware of this pattern is already a big step!
One thing that might help is setting a little ritual to “close” the task. For example, after you finish, take a deep breath, and say something like, “I did my best, and now I’m letting it go.” It might sound simple, but giving yourself permission to move on can be powerful.
Another idea is to set a timer—give yourself a specific amount of time to reflect, maybe just 1-2 minutes. When the timer goes off, gently remind yourself, “Okay, it’s time to focus on what’s next.”
Remember it’s okay if things aren’t perfect. The fact that you care enough to reflect shows how thoughtful and dedicated you are, but don’t let that caring nature steal too much of your energy. you’re doing better than you think.
