Physical anxiety symptoms
Does anyone else regularly experience physical symptoms of anxiety for 30 minutes-hours like tight throat and chest, nausea, stomach pains, headache, etc? I try to do deep breathing and still find it hard to relax. If so, do you have any advice? I think my body’s gotten into the habit of getting into anxiety spells for extended periods of time. Trying to figure out how to unlearn that.
@considerateTurtle1211 I have had headaches it’s muscle tension and stomach pain tension headache it also affects my back back of my neck my head
I have anixety about night challenges I refuse to walk Around at night anything can occur happen I am a victim of sexual assault I do get scared at night
@dhabib, I’m so sorry to hear that happened. 💙 I hope you are able to find healing.
The best things I have found so far for anxiety are deep breathing for a long time, ice packs or a cloth with cold water on the head, and aerobic exercise.
@considerateTurtle1211 it’s something I’m doing anixety bothers me a lot thank you yes it hurts feeling so much tension a lot of pain that’s something that I face in my life
What always helps me relax are grounding exercises like yoga and meditation. Acknowledging your anxiety and being present with it, instead of distracting yourself from it, can help you relax. I find that listening to calming music, writing your thoughts in a journal, exercising, petting my dogs, going on walks, and massaging myself is also very effective at reducing anxiety. Try some of these things, find the ones that help the most, and turn them into habits. Your symptoms will become less extreme and eventually you’ll be able to get through your day anxiety-free.

im sorry to hear that you are having physical symptoms of anxiety. That must be very scary for you. If in doubt, the best thing to do is to see a dr who can make sure your symptoms are related to anxiety.
