Has anyone experience with sunday anxiety?

I am suffering from sunday anxiety for 10+ years but even with extensive therapy and meds, I still suddenly get severe anxiety, struggle to breathe and have massive pressure in my stomach and heart area. Also I feel like I am totally in freeze response. There is history with bullying in school back then and also school anxiety in general with big maths and not being able to do my homework issues.

I really hope in case you have ever dealt with sunday anxiety and has tipps for me on how to deal with it :)

Hello. Anxiety with panic attacks, depression you mentioned in other threads and some past school traumas must be a really hard mixture of feelings to cope with...

I didn't experience Sunday scares too much at school (as a matter of fact, often I was looking forward to going to school instead of sitting at home alone). But there were times when I had overly demanding, hectic and toxic jobs. Then, on Sundays, I used to tell to myself: "Going to a stable you stop feeling the smell of horses when you enter it" (or something much more literal πŸ˜‰). That usually made me smile and feel like the everyday routines will fend off any fears quite quickly.

Obviously, it was a short-term solution. Changing my job for more friendly, with fewer expectations (even if not so well paid) was a long-term one.

Does your therapy include healing from school traumatic experiences?

What do you need advanced maths for? Is it some kind of engineering/university of technology education?

I was bullied in my primary school. Recently I accidentally met one of the guys who bullied me, and he looked so happy to see me that he came to hug me. I was positive, but confused πŸ˜‰ For him I must have been connected with his "sweet childhood memories". Well, my childhood was not so sweet, neither at school, and especially nor at home...
