Are the meds actually working?

craterlake October 3rd

So I was talking to my husband the other night and reflecting over how we've been doing better lately, less fights and all. I mentioned that I thought I was getting better even though I know I still have a lot of improving left to go. I've been on anxiety meds since January so we're going on 10 months now. His response was that the improvement is all credited to him because he just doesn't care anymore and I'm still screwing up the same amount.

Turned what I thought was some great reflection at the end of the day to feeling like c**p and emotionally targeted instead of supported. So am I actually getting better or is he gaslighting me?

Ooo, so sorry to hear he was not supportive. Anxiety is really hard. I feel it too. I just read my devotional for the morning and its message today was to remember the God walks with us. Thought that was a pertinent idea to reflect on. Keep on keeping on.

This is tough when that happens. Usually, an improvement in a relationship is due to both people taking action. Don't believe your husband if he says he's the only factor. Also appreciate yourself even if he doesn't.
