Anxiety - My thoughts always find new ways to upset me
Hello, since covid and a small operation to remove a knot I have been having panic attacks. I have worked on it and have improved but lately I have been very anxious. I'm afraid that I always eat something wrong and that I have to throw up and I would be very embarrassed. It feels like my head is always looking for new problems to get me upset. I don't know how to calm my nerves and to stop searching for problems. I always feel like a burden to other people because of my anxiety and fear what other people outside of my family might think about me, like people at work might think I'm weak and childish.
I want to be more happy and accept how I am. But I find it very difficult not to constantly blame me for being like this.
Any advice or similar feelings?

Do you know who can push everyone of our triggers ........ yep us ....
we know every one of them ..... we know how to stress ourselves out ........ worry about the even smallest possible thing.... now what to do to stop that is find out why?
Why do I get myself upset? .... could it be to avoid other items? ......... if we are so worked up about one thing..... we are too busy to let other thoughts in..... we put this on ourselves ... we have the power to quit as well.
Yet we look for outside things to fix thoughts we started. ......
I have done it myself recently we went for a short weekend get away .........I booked the hotel and yet my partner was doing items the rules said not to do ................so i got myself all worked up about being charged extra or worst case things ... Was it going to happen ? NO .... but i wanted to be mad at partner because he never bothered to book anywhere then wanted to complain what i booked was not what he wanted....
I wanted a extra charge or thrown out as a big I TOLD YOU SO to my partner about how self centered he is ....... instead i owned my why i was working myself up ............. and told him this is why we do not go because he thinks everything he does is better.... so we can vacation separately cause i am tired of his BS. all anxiety and worry gone.
Thank you for your input! I will try to think about why I really react this way and what I really try to avoid.. maybe sometimes it is because I don't want other people to judge me so I get this sick feelings to avoid to go to parties... But I can't think about why I get this anxiety while driving
@thoughtfulavocado17
many worry about accidents or being judged by other drivers or many things
you know the person too close trying to nudge you to go faster
perhaps driving to new area and worried if the directions are accurate or if you miss your turn etc.....
people who seem to think you know where they where going LOL .....and that they need in your lane to turn etc.... driving can be very stressful you are not alone in that ....
@thoughtfulavocado17 Hey there! I'm so sorry you've been feeling this way, anxiety is so hard, and then add anxiety about being anxious? So hard. You are not alone in this.
Something I once heard that brought me some comfort was that we are anxious about what we care about. It might sounds really obvious, but when I noticed that, I got more comfortable with being anxious, and knowing that it will probably come back again each time I develop a new value, or go through a change in my life. Once I began anticipating it, then it was easier to combat it.
I don't know if that makes any sense? I hope you're doing a bit better! You're not alone in this!
