🎁
In my house we have to watch either one or both Home Alone’s. My husband's favorite is National Lampoons Christmas Vacation. For a change this year, I decided to watch a TV version of A Christmas Carol starring Patrick Stewart and I really enjoyed it.
My favorite seasonal treats are gingersnap cookies, hot apple cider and hot chocolate. I am also a big sucker for anything that has cranberries in it.
For my favorite song I have a few, I would say ‘Rocking around the Christmas tree’, ‘Sleigh ride’ and ‘My favorite things’.
A couple of years ago my family and I traveled to Budapest, Hungary and spent the Christmas holidays there. We did all of the touristy things and enjoyed the Christmas markets.
One of our family traditions at this time of year is driving around in our car looking at all the Christmas lights in different neighborhoods while playing festive music and having treats.

Love Actually! Such a beautiful film
Oh I forgot to mention this but I have watched about half of that movie and have to finish it. You are right, it is a beautiful movie from what I have watched so far. It gets mentioned on many must watch Xmas movie lists so I thought I should finally see it too! Happy Holidays!
- its a Wonderful Life.
- I love my moms homemade Rice Krispies and jello fruit cocktail with whipped cream.
- There are a lot of Christmas songs I enjoy but Don’t save it all sung by Celine Dion or Avalon are at my top also blue Christmas by Elvis.
- opening gifts with my family before my grandad passed it was the one day where everything was right.
- Me, my moms, and little sisters do the 12 days of gifts. Where we an open a gift we specifically bought for the 12 days leading up to Christmas Eve.

Wow thank you for sharing naturalbeauty. I have always wanted to watch ‘It’s a wonderful life’ as I know it’s a classic. I just read the premise and even though Christmas is over I think I will watch this with my family. Ironically my husband’s name is George like the character and he is a currently frustrated businessman so I think this movies message will really hit home.
I love rice Krispies too! I moved to a country that doesn’t have them. I miss that treat.
I have never heard of ‘Don’t save it all’. I will have a listen to it today.
I love the sweet memories we have with our loved ones before they pass, thanks for sharing this treasured memory.
I have also never heard of the 12 days of Christmas gift giving, I will have to do more looking into this as well and perhaps adopting it for our family next year.
Yes I absolutely love It’s a wonderful life! The message is powerful so it’s a great film.
Me and my mom came up with the 12 days just to try something different we love opening gifts and get too excited so to make sure we don’t open all the gifts we buy gifts specially for the 12 days leading up to Christmas we even have a Christmas tree just for the 12 days gifts to go underneath. If you guys try it I hope y’all enjoy it. Don’t forget to play the 12days of Christmas for each day haha. 🙂
@naturalbeauty
I watched it with my husband and we enjoyed it. The message was so timely, just as I thought it would be. Thanks for sharing your info on how the 12 days of Christmas tradition work.
No problem glad I can share my tradition with you. 🙂❤️
