Caffeine for ADHD
hello there, may i ask if consuming caffeine or chocolate prohibited for person with Autism/ADHD? all reply will be appreciated. thank you very much.😊
@silentbuster26 We can't give direct medical advice here but many people with ADHD do consume caffeine and there are even studies on using caffeine to help with ADHD (mixed results).
Some of the medications for ADHD are stimulants, so if it were me I would be concerned about using caffeine as well without checking first.
A doctor or pharmacist can give individualized advice about how a drug - including caffeine - might affect you.

Hello! I believe this is very person-to-person specific! For me, I can't have a lot of caffeine while taking my medication. I get too jittery.
There is no "prohibitors" when it comes to ADHD and caffeine, it's a matter of finding out what works best for you!
