god, I hate this I hate myself :(( I can never focus on my classes/homework and I'm gonna fail high school. my parents just think I'm just lazy, but they don't know how hard it is for me to focus in class. they think I'm not taking all this seriously but trust me, I'm literally crying over the fact that I'm gonna fail all my classes and not get all my credits to be able to pass and go to college. my hands are literally shaking so badly. I just want this all to stop. and the worst part is that I don't know how to fix all of this. I've been like this since 3rd grade. (I'm currently in 9th so it's been about 6 years.) im too scared to ask for help from my parents cause i have a feeling they might think im just dramatic or faking even. i dont know what to do. i dont know how to focus. i've tried everything, but nothing works.

uhm, any advice? :(

@kquxllo

You'll need to address this problem before you reach college since the coursework is even harder.

Doesn't your school offer help like tutors?

@Gettingbettertoday i'm pretty sure they do... I do remember when school started, they had mentioned counseling, calming rooms n' stuff (if I'm being frank, I don't recall paying close attention, I was just listening to my teacher cause I had a massive headache or something on that day, so I can't really remember)

you have to tell your parents that you need medication. You also qualify for accommodations from your school (like a tutor, extra time to complete assignments, etc) because of the ADA Americans with Disabilities Act. ADHD is very real. I’m 41 and struggle so much and have had it all my life. I’m super smart but I feel so unintelligent most of the time. It feels like there is mud and rocks blocking everything in my brain. That’s because my medication doesn’t really work anymore since I’ve been on it so long. Sorry for getting off topic but if you need help, you’re going to have to ask. If your parents can’t remove their heads out of their you know where’s, do you have a grandparent or aunt or uncle you could go to for help talking to them? At this point they are setting you up for failure. Are you from the US?

@krissyinreallife I'm so sorry you're going through that. and no, absolutely no one in my family knows, mainly cause I don't ever talk much; and I know I should tell them that too lol. (I have to tell them a LOT of things, gosh why do I make this so difficult-)

and I am in the US
