Need help with obsessive sexual behaviour

littleWriter1109 October 20th, 2022

I've recently come across this disorder and the symptoms are affecting my life. I feel all alone in my struggle. It's making me want to just give up on life. Please I need some help in this. An accountability partner or anyone to just help me to be there for me.

Well... You're definitely not alone. I've had related issues for most of my life. You're doing the best thing, my advice is to not stay silent in your struggle, because this is a subject that can complicate a person in so many ways. I'm honestly surprised that I made it this far when I didn't feel like I could talk about certain things.

I'm all ears if you want to get any of it off your chest.

For sure, feel free to! It might have to be here because I don't know if there is another place on this site anymore, but I'll stay tuned.

How did you make it this far though? I'm really happy for you. But I would also like to get any help to just go on with my life

Hmm, there's a lot of things. I've been dealing with it for a long time, and sometimes it's worse, but it's usually manageable for me.

First, I'd say try not to spend toooo much time alone. I'm somewhere in the middle of the introvert/extrovert thing, but I know that boredom or loneliness make it worse for me. But it requires having people around that don't make you feel even more lonely or getting out in public.

Second, hobbies and trying new stuff, that sort of thing. I think it helps to have some things to briefly pick up and some to work on for a while, like learning a new language. Physical activity helps a lot. So does going to places you've never been or listening to new music.

Also important, try not to feel ashamed of what you're going through. Even if you feel like you deserve it. You might even be able to embrace some of it if you have people around that understand. That might not happen all at once, but as long as it doesn't have a hold of you as well as your self-esteem, it can start getting better.

Ultimately though, you'll have to find out what works for you. I have to feel like I'm improving myself or getting good time in with loved ones, so that's what works best for me. It'll probably take everything you have if you're like me, but getting around something like that makes you resourceful in the long run.

I hope at least something in this helps so far.
