Hey everyone I have a problem and need some advice. I have been watching porn and masturbating for a very long time now at least 5+ years. Over time the amount increased to once a day and sometimes multiple times a day when I’m stressed. I have joined to help me stop or at least decrease the amount. So far gone over a week without relapse which is better than I expected for my first time Here is the problem. I have a very important exam coming up in a month. Basically if I do not do well and not pass I will not get a good job. I have been studying very hard to pass but ever since stopping fapping my concentration is not good. This exam costs a lot of money and my family has great expectations. What should I do? Should I fap and regain my study habit and concentration to help me pass this exam or continue no fap and risk poor study and failing exam?

It's okay to want to challenge yourself. You can do it. I also wonder if you're being a little too hard on yourself?

@goldenBirch5201 There is a lot riding on this one exam. Like almost get disowned from family if I do bad kind of pressure. Also money like one grand kind of amount. So yeah I feel like I need to be strict on myself and do well. If having brain fog because of no masturbation will stop me from doing well then I don't know if that is enough for me to keep my fast or not. Can I always restart my fast afterwards?

Don't do it. Continue what you're doing. I know it's tough but you got it. Maybe play some study beats while you're studying. I noticed this helped me a lot when I was in college. You got this, we believe in you.

Struggling as well. I recently relapsed to P*rn after a really long time of abstaining and i was at a loss of what to do. I looked online and they say to just brush yourself off and get back onto the sobriety wagon. You can do some thinking of why did i relapse: what was the trigger, so you learn for the future, but after that just continue your normal daily habits and don’t let the relapses psych you out.


They also said to replace your bad habit with a good one. It you normally relapse in the morning or before bed replace that time with a different good habit:

like reading or exercising, etc.


i think i want to start doing brain games to train my prefrontal cortex that i destroyed by watching porn.

Hi i am ab, i am 24 (m)

I am m@sturbating for very long time not atleast 7+ years. some months i did a lot means many times a week. Then gragually decrease when i have focus on gaol and commit to me i want to achieve goal so i need to focus on that i must be not do that in my goal. Yes it can help me but this is stuggling. My goal is short term so that i achieved.

Then i have no goal, i doing timepass, less friends connectivity, nothing to do, then i seeng po®n sometimes then ma$terbuating.

Then some monts ago i see understand i am feel strees on this this can make situation hard and worse to me, the i see this m@sterbuting is no bad or problematic if it is done in balance or in maderation, i feel better i think release some load. Then i understand this is the part of our body and it is natuaral so why we suppress that and why we can not do in healthiar amd way balanced way without harm anything.

Gradually i did this without any strees, pressure and frustration. Then i am do put have too much focusing on this habit i have increasing my focus on exersise or building a new habit which can improve our health and can support ourself. I am gradually doing this beacuse i understand m@$terbution hase physical basis which is strong can i control that ? I see and dont underemasting and spending too much energy to control by mind which is not contralable by mind. I dont put too much effort. Gradually automatically i seen deacrease in this activity and see clearly the triiger the i can avoid that trigger. I am doing cool and calm way gradually focussing on exersise and now i am enjoing that. Now i did not want to go agains reality which is i did for years to stop m@strbuating. I am doing and try to do in balance way and also try to taking enough rest amd nutrition. Habits can change slowly but old habits can come again so we have the struggle to making habits good to us and fighting with old.

Ma$terbuation has effect which is positive and also nagative. benefit happen in moderation.

Now days also watched po®n but i have seen the reality of this industry so i dont want to watch. I am understanding it is not only happen fun or fantasis , whats the effects happen to me, i dont want these. So i am wanting to gradually disconnect from it and i have no need to watch.


Take care understand the body you have. Dont underestimate body and over estimate the power of thought and thinking.
