you can be a kind person & still:
- say no.
- prioritize your needs.
- disagree with people.
- be honest.
- challenge poor behavior.
- walk away from toxic environments.
- make mistakes.
- stand up for yourself.
- protect your time and peace.

Thanks, I feel we all need this little reminder. I find it hard to disagree or say no, but to challenge poor behavior or step in when someone is being nasty I tend to do that all the time. I still feel I am a kind person.

Being kind doesn't mean compromising your well-being or ignoring your boundaries.
It's entirely possible—and necessary—to maintain kindness while asserting their own needs and boundaries.
Saying no, prioritizing your well-being, and standing up for yourself is self-respect and self-care, which are crucial for maintaining mental and emotional health.
It's important to remember that setting boundaries and protecting your peace doesn't make you any less kind; it simply means you're also practicing kindness towards yourself.
This balance is critical to nurturing healthy, respectful relationships with others and yourself.
