Group Support Program is getting converted into a course!

Hope January 11th

Hi everyone, I hope you are doing well. I am here with an announcement. We are converting our Group Support Program to a course. The course will be called ‘Group Dynamics Course’

We realized that the structure of the program may not be best suited for this specific topic. This is partly indicated by the reduced interest as seen in sign-ups. Academy programs require the content to be done during a specific period along with submitting different milestone posts and they are relatively more demanding compared to courses. The program structure has more benefits where the content requires consistent check-ins and more support.  GSP has valuable coursework but the program structure is at some level hindering more people from benefiting from the content. We want to remove any obstacles that we can and help more people benefit from the coursework and practicum components.

The converted course will not be time-sensitive, it is entirely at your own pace, you can do it in a week or take a month or even more, it is up to you. The practicum requirements will be greatly reduced which will accommodate people who are not very familiar with groups yet but want to step outside of their comfort or experiment more with groups. It will resemble existing academy courses. You will receive a certificate and a badge for completion of the new course.

We understand that some users may have been planning to complete the Group Support Program and we want to give everyone a last opportunity to complete the program if they wish to. Anyone eligible to join the program can still be a part of it. You can apply for the start date of  Jan 15 (Friday is the deadline for this date) or Jan 22. Any date after that will not be accepted. Applications close on Jan 17. For the existing GSP trainees, you will continue the program as usual.

You can expect the Group Dynamics Course to be available by February.

Thank you to everyone who helped provide leadership support to the group support program and all those who completed the program.

@Hope

Ooh good thinking, Hope, I'm glad the elements of the program would still be available to explore and seek some learning from, in the form of a course too. Thanks for the update!😊
