September 28th - Let's talk about invisible illness!
Its the first day of Invisible Illness Awareness week, and I think the best way to start it, is to talk about it. Its the day where you can talk about what invisible illnesses are and try to tell things about yourself that people dont know. Weve planned a bunch of activities for today, and I really hope you like them! :)
Discussions:
☆ Discussion: Invisible Illness led by @wonderfulPumpkin71 and @JustMe11
Location: Guided Discussion Room (adult)
Time: 4pm EDT
Forum:
☆ What is your invisible fight? Click to get involved!
☆ IIAW - A little help gives a lot o hope by @Anushka1
☆ The Invisible Me poem by Kat Price
Feed Activity: #MyInvisibleFight #InvisibleFight
☆ Information: What is a fight for you that few people would even notice or understand? It doesnt have to signify something you cannot do. It can represent something that is just an extra challenge for you, something that makes you sigh with frustration, or perhaps hold your breath with a bit of anxiety. Share them with us via your feed this week!
☆ 30 Things About My Invisible Illness Challenge
Information: Complete these sentences to give others an insight into your experience with an invisible illness. E.g., The illness I live with is…, I was diagnosed with it in the year…, But I had symptoms since.... You may wish to post one thing a day on your feed, or perhaps three or more - or all! The sentences can be found here.

Great :D
I suffer pain every day and have for decades. First, there is the back pain from a ligament that stretched while I was pregnant with my son, who is now 27. Back therapy helps a lot, but I still have a lot of pain in my hip and sacroiliac, particularly when I sleep.
Secondly, I have suffered from trigeminal neuralgia for about two decades. It is a problem with the cranial nerves which causes excruciating pain in the face. In 2013, I had brain surgery, to no avail.
Lastly, for 2 years, or so, I have suffered with chronic plantar fasciitis. I have been doing physical therapy for months on end, but seemed to have hit a plateau. I had to relearn how to walk, because my gait is a big part of the problem.
