Honoring Suicide Prevention Day with Dr. Jennifer Crumlish
We are very excited to announce that we will be hosting a special conversation with Dr. Jennifer Crumlish on Thursday, September 10th at 4:00 PM ET.
We are honored to have Dr. Crumlish share her knowledge of suicide with our community in this special 1 hour forum AMA!
Dr. Jennifer Crumlish is a licensed clinical psychologist and has been a partner in the Washington Psychological Center in Washington, D.C. since 2002. She is also the Assistant Director of the Suicide Prevention Lab at the Catholic University of America. Dr. Crumlish started out as a volunteer at the D.C. Hotline where her experience working with individuals struggling with suicidal thoughts and feelings and training new volunteers in strategies to help callers sparked her interest in becoming a therapist. She has also been involved in research and training projects in the U.S. military to help support mental health professionals working with suicidal soldiers.
She will be available to answer your questions about:
1) Basic facts and information about suicide research
2) Reducing isolation around suicide
3) How to support someone who has lost a loved one to suicide & how you can help yourself if you've lost someone to suicide
4) Reducing Stigma around suicide
This discussion will not include the following topics:
1) How to manage suicidal users at 7 Cups.
2) If you are suicidal and need support
