Living with Leaders Initiative!
Hi Community! You must have come across one or more of the interviews posted in this series. Ever since these interviews were started, which was on Oct. 4, 2021, with the very first interview with Glen here, I have looked for more and more ways through which I could inspire and encourage leadership qualities amongst the community members: that would in the true sense be called 'living with leaders'! We are living with one another, living with the leaders in one another, and we must take full advantage of the immense learning and learning potential in each of us.
With this underlying idea, of living with leaders and learning leadership from one another, we went on to introduce Peer Appreciation Program on October 22, 2021! The idea behind the peer appreciation program was to inspire leadership qualities in one another through appreciating one another. We have come a long way in this appreciation movement and look forward to going a longer way!
But the journey could not stop there. How could I stop until I know we are taking maximum advantage of the qualities in one another? One specialty of 7cups, which you might not find at a lot of places other than 7cups, is self-care talks! We stress upon self-care in chatrooms, forums, growth paths, and in personal messages to one another! Self-care is deeply embedded into 7cups culture, at least the self-care talks are! So this is from where the idea of A Talk on Self-Care sprouted! Even though the idea was introduced on December 23, 2021, and a lot of talks were posted here, we have only recently resumed these talks under the leadership of @Clarisse29. Out of all the qualities one can have, self-care, most of us would agree, is a vital one!
This is where we are in the Living with Leaders Initiative at large! It is not just the interviews with experienced leaders, but it is also about self-care talks, and it is also about community members floating on an appreciation movement!
We will continue these efforts under the Living with Leaders Initiative until each of us could say and agree that: Living at 7cups is about Living with Great Leaders!

@Fristo thank you for this very important work! It captiures the idea that culture is caught not taught. And that our community is rich with leaders, listeners and members that exemplify the best of Cups. They model it out for us so we can all better see it. Thank you for being our glasses and shining a spotlight on people that help to lift us all up!
@Fristo

@Fristo
Thank you for all the great work with the series Fristo, and also for presenting me with the esteemed opportunity to help out with some of it!
@Fristo
Thank you Fristo for sharing your journey with us ✨
I do believe that everyone has something in them that makes them valuable, and we all might not have every positive quality in existence, but we can always observe others and learn from them. It’s interesting that by leaders, you meant everyone around us, and not only those in “leadership roles” 🌻
Oh, and yes, Self care! I do find a lot of self care talks here, about how important it is, and that it should be a part of our journey, not just something that you do when you’re burned out or on weekends. It’s like for those who work in mental health, they try to care for themselves everyday, or frequently. It’s an important part of their everyday work 😊
