I'm a self-harmer who's working on stopping.
Lat night, I nicked myself accidently while shaving, but I didn't go back and purposely cut myself more afterwards. This is a huge accomplishment, because it's always hard for me to resist temptation like that.

Progress!! laugh

Every step when it comes to being clean is a huge achievement and to be able to recognize that achievement is huge! Just keep pushing through this! you can do it! Stay strong :)

I realized that I can get my hydrogeologist liences! I QUALIFY!!! All i need to do is get a few courses and write the ethics exams. I had no idea all this education could add up to a professional designation. I am so proud that I got through all this, being depressed halfnof thise years.

I've been at least 15 minutes late for work every day the past 3 weeks. Today I was only 4 minutes late. Its not much, but baby steps...

My most recent achievement that I can think of is that I'm slowly getting over my anxiety and low attention span. I don't feel as jittery anymore as I used to and that's good because I can be more patient. I'm trying to avoid interrupting people as much as possible and I'm glad I've learned to take things slow.

@Yourfairygodbro

That's amazing! I am really proud of you; anxiety is something that's really hard to overcome. Can I ask how you did it? :D

@Cadence thank you!!! I just researched anxiety and tried to understand what it is that's happening to me. I was mostly anxious because of either fear of failure or fear of losing something, in my case it'd be mostly relationship related.

Here's some resources I found helpful: Thoughtcatalog.com, YouTube channel called Actualized, YouTube channel called The School Of Life, multiple meditation apps, and lots of anxiety games including 'loop' which is simple but I like it.

Some other stuff that helps me is setting timers for when I'm allowed to worry about something. For example, when someone doesn't text me back for a bit then I can set a ten minute timer and worry about it then. If my mom is taking a while to pick me up, I can set a timer and call her when the time runs out as to avoid bothering her. If I'm in pain or crying then I can set an hour timer and go back to whatever situation after I've calmed down.

Also, I write down how I feel and that helps things clear up a lot too so I'm less angsty.

I'm quite proud of myself because this swim season I was in a pretty bad car accident and was diagnosed with a pretty bad lung problem but despite both of those things I still swam a 27.4 second 50 freestyle and placed top 10 in my region. I was 0.2 seconds off from going to states but thats okay considering I was overcoming a concussion and most people believed I wouldnt be able to swim this season at all. I was also in 3 relays that placed 5th, 5th, and 9th. So I'm pretty bummeed about my lungs and having to deal with all my diseases has been hard but I am so proud of how I did at regionals.

Oh and I got accepted into Mount Saint Mary's University with a Dean's scholarship for academics (over $75,000). I've worked so hard and have stressed myself to extreme limits but its finally paying off.

Oh my gosh, these things are absolutely amazing!

Firstly, congrats on swimming (at all), let alone swimming really well. I'm really proud of you, and I am glad that you're recovering nicely. On top of that, you got a huge scholarship to a great school. <3

I'm new to this 7 cups of tea. And have been exploring it and have reached step 10 in my growth! Being able to control your thoughts and control your breathing and practicing those techniques is something I will start using everyday. I feel so at peach right now!
