✨Discussion: Even though life might be difficult, writing your thoughts down can help you cope. Writing or sketching down your thoughts and feelings might boost your daily efforts to improve your general wellbeing.
In addition, studies show that journaling's mental processing may lessen the symptoms of chronic illness that people feel physically and enhance overall health. An earlier study discovered that after four months, patients with mild to moderately severe asthma had improved lung function.

So true, journaling is one of the best ways to cope with things, I feel. I've been journaling from a long time before I even knew that "writing down my feelings and thoughts on paper" has an actual term to it and is called "journaling" lol. >.<
Have been outta loop though, and been a while since I journaled something, but it does help somewhat, even if not in any "overt" manner, it helps to let out the thoughts and feelings somewhere, lowkey an act of giving them a space to *be*, a form of acknowledgement, and also to "declutter" mind hehe.
Wonderful post, thankyou, Joy. 💛
Do you maintain a regular journal?
@Sunisshiningandsoareyou
To be fair, I use to just refer to it as liking to “write.”
Also, yes! I love that, it does serve as a way to declutter the mind!
I do maintain a regular journal, but I probably don’t write in it as often as I should!
Thanks so much for reading! ✨💛
@innateJoy9602
Oh yes, that fits.
I get that, hope you can get back to it also, when you like. And ofcourse.💛
@innateJoy9602 I couldn't agree more with you Joy. Sometimes we think we understand what's happening in our lives but we don't fully comprehend it.
Writing everything down can help us see things from a different perspective and create a clearer point of view on what decisions to make.
Thank you so much for the interesting post! This is also a personal reminder for me to start writing again <3
@innateJoy9602 tks for sharing. During behaviourctherapy I used journaling. So far as non native ENG speaker zibunderstand what you mean with. Its nit writing diary. Its more a specific scheme to address one specidic item / question ... and write down the thoughts about it and feelings, with all pro and cons and most important also listing the relevances for own life, alternatives and solutions.
@innateJoy9602 I journal and it's been amazing for my mental health so far. It has helped me express and understand my emotions and feelings much better. I'm so grateful I started.

Often time big life changes are full of things to think about and deal with. Journaling definitely has helped me organize my thoughts during these times so I know what I decisions I need to make first and help me understand what needs to be prioritized.

This is an excellent thread, Joy, and yes, I have! I feel I can agree with many of the points you've made here.
I've been journaling for years and feel like it's one of the best hobbies I've invested in, and there's no going back.😄
I feel that keeping a journal helps me keep track of my thought patterns, and it has definitely helped me keep my mental health in check.
In fact, it's been so helpful that I've created a growth path here to share the benefits, and how to get started with journal writing. Feel free to check it out 😉
