SIMPLE RESOURCE ON HOW TO MANAGE ANXIETY AND WORRY - has a Decision Tree
I'm posting this here as a resource because I can't post it in the Resource section.
I got the idea to create this thread when I replied to someone's question.
This is meant for someone who is wondering if their anxiety or worry is excessive.
I thought others might like to see it as a generic entry-level resource.
Here's the link...
https://www.uh.edu/caps/resources/covid-19/manage-anxiety/
The web site above says...
Normal Worry (or anxiety)
Helps you to get what you want.
Helps you to solve problems in your life.
Excessive Worry (or anxiety)
Leaves you feeling demoralized, upset, or exhausted.
Gets in the way of living the life you want to lead.
It has a very nice simple Decision Tree that explains
what to do about worry and anxiety here...

IMPORTANT NOTE ON USING THE DIAGRAM ABOVE
The diagram left out these "get help" questions and steps...
"Can you get help?"
"If yes, can you get help now?" then... "Get help now."
"If no, then plan to get help later."
That might all seem obvious but...
We all forget to get help sometimes...
and...
Some people have a strong tendency to resist getting help...
so they may never even think of getting help.
SO ALWAYS REMEMBER:
"GET HELP IF NEEDED"
and also...
Whenever you're feeling [ stuck ],
always reach out - and keep reaching out -
until you find the right person to talk to.
It's the essential first step.
Otherwise one might be... stuck because not reaching out for help.
hi there, how do i make a thread?
@SmallSunflower03
You already know how to make a thread...
Remember when you posted this...
"Question: is it normal to feel anxious everyday?"
That was "making a new thread".
Here's a reminder in case you forgot...
Just go to the proper forum starting here
then go to proper community and subcommunity
like here for example https://www.7cups.com/forum/GeneralSupport_28/ManagingEmotions_1601/
then click the button at the top right to Create New Thread in that subcommunity..
