@specialEyes53 Hi there, fantastic job on your honors project! You did an excellent job in explaining test anxiety, and you outlined the project well. :D

Have you ever experienced Test Anxiety?
I haven't been a student in ages, but when I was, I definitely did!

If you did experience it, how did you cope with it?
Well, I think studying ahead of time helped; I tried to avoid cramming and established a study schedule. I would also do some deep breathing before tests to help calm my nerves.

What steps are you going to take to stop letting test anxiety affect you negatively?
As mentioned, anxiety isn't always negative. It can help push you to take things seriously. I think having that perspective helps. Also, definitely try out coping methods (i.e. deep breathing).

@specialEyes53

(also crying/having meltdowns .. is a symptom too :(

Have you ever experienced Test Anxiety?

-Yes. Pretty much everytime I have a test, even if it's something I'm super confortable with.

If you did experience it, how did you cope with it?

-I NEVER study on the day (like take my notes and read it right before the test) because makes me panic, I always have a waterbottle with me because taking sipps helps with anxiety, I take a rubber band on my wrist to calm me down in case I get anxious, I also eat a bit of chocolate before I go the test so helps me focous.

What steps are you going to take to stop letting test anxiety affect you negatively?

-Honestly so far never found anything that totally fixed it. But one thought that does help is "you studied, therefore you'll pass". Even if I don't pass I know I did my very best and couldn't do anything else. If I do fail I try to understand my mistakes, correct them and I'll feel even more prepared next time.

I'm a little late to the party, but I finally remembered to come leave my answers! :P

enlightened Have you ever experienced Test Anxiety?
Yup, mostly I experience it before my semester exams at school.

enlightened If you did experience it, how did you cope with it?
I just kept revising my notes and making sure I knew everything that I had to in order to combat the feeling that I wasn't prepared.

enlightened What steps are you going to take to stop letting test anxiety affect you negatively?
Studying more in advance, reassuring myself that I know the content, and surrounding myself with people who won't increase stress and pressure before the exam.
