Hurtful People on 7 Cups

Hello Everyone,

I am aware that there is someone going into group rooms and in some cases PM's demanding money. They are using fear based language to make you feel nervous and affraid. I'd like to be very clear about something, they are using fear to get what they want, which is to make you feel unsafe & uncomfortable. It is a very intentional act of harm. All information on 7 Cups is 100% confidential. We have never had a breach of information and we will never. Our site is secure and confidential. This means that nobody can find you or your personal information unless you give it out.

Do not let these individuals make you feel unsafe. That is what they want. When you see someone acting inappropriately (threatening, harassing or demanding money), please take these steps:

1) Ignore them, do not engage in a conversation with them. Keep the group conversations moving.

2) Mute them for yourself

3) Ask a mod for help. A moderator can remove them from the room immediately. So please use the emergency form or connect with a Mod via pm and ask them for help.

4) Report them in one of the following ways: Mail us at community@7cups and share their username and describe the behavior you encourntered

We will do everything we can to get these individuals off of 7 Cups ASAP, but it will be a team effort. We all need to work together. If you see something, say something.
