Are Disney movies musicals?

I loved the Lion King, and Sleeping Beauty.

I don’t know if this counts but Tenacious D and the Pick of Destiny!

Was never a huge musical fan but enjoyed Mary Poppins and The Phantom of the Opera well enough growing up I guess. Parents took us to Phantom and it was a bit underwhelming for some reason. I loved Billy Elliot and was in New York while it was playing but the person I went to New York with didn’t want to try the things I wanted to try so I just didn’t bother a I didn’t want to go alone.

I like the Phantom of the Opera too. I have the movie.

Ever heard of the old musical called "Carousel? That one made me cry the first time I saw it because of loosing my dad. But I love it. Touches my heart every time I watch it.
