Self-Care Protocol - Self-care is very important. If you need it, we encourage you to go for it. If you are able, we appreciate if plan ahead and let your fellow team members know. This allows us to make sure your project area has coverage.
Take self-care as you normally would. We don’t want you to worry about your badges, take care of yourself first. If you lose your badges while away, here is the protocol we will implement for badge re-integration!
How to take a self-care break:
Technically speaking, any self-care break can be indefinite. For the purposes of badge reclamation, we have broken it down into two categories: Under three months or over three months.
If your self-care break is under three months:
Please reach out to your project leader/Ambassador to ask for a temporary badge removal and let us know you’ll be on break (include the estimated time away, if you have it). When you return, reach back out to this leader to have it returned.
Over three months:
If it has been more than three months, you can reclaim your badge by filling out the application form corresponding to your badge. If you are away for 3 or more months, your team lead may ask you to undergo refresher training to ensure you are up to date on all the new policies and information.
Keep in mind: None of these badge removals are cumulative. If you have multiple roles, the work you to do maintain one of your badges will also apply to all other badges that share the same criteria.
Please let me know if I’ve missed anything!
