You know mylove, Pan was a very ancient Roman god, more ancient than all gods, he related to Nture and everything tgat is why now we call "pan", everything...yet he was chubby, old and very small of stature yet merry and he sang his panflute...
He resembled the Irish green man...a merry old man of little stature, one with nature and enormous power...he was mentioned in Tolkien's writings too...under another name...
