I believe positive experiences are very important to create in life because they are very important and valuable to have. It lowers your stress, frustrations, etc. It helps you combat negative thoughts or bad thoughts or memories by focusing on the positive ones which you can’t if you don’t have any.

Yes absolutely! Cherishing these positive memories will enhance the quality of not only our later years but our present years too! So please please PLEASE be as positive as possible, create as many positive experiences and memories as possible and cherish them and remember them as much as possible!

It is so important to create these experiences which become the memories we relive especially in old age. 

It's important to have some happiness in life and to get some enjoyment out of it.  Otherwise, what's the point?

I have a few happy memories I think about over and over, but I don't have anyone to reminisce with.  It can be depressing to think of those happy moments being in the past, so long ago.  The most recent ones happened 34 years ago.  They're long gone.

When the world around us feels dark it can be hard to see the positive side and make positive experiences. On tough days it helps me to go outside and watch animals like birds, cats or lizards for a while. It always makes me smile how they interact with each other. 

What were one or two nice experiences from the past?

My college days were a good experience, and having friends to see was a good experience.

Only a few - this was before the days of cell phones, smart phones, digital cameras, etc.  Few of us could afford cameras.  They were the old kind, with rolls of film.

I remember those with the rolls, it was much more expensive to take pictures in those days! Good you still have a few though!

It is important to create positive experiences in life because it is the moment right now we live in. Yes I creating and enjoying these memories train our brains in joy and contentment

I can't answer either of these questions directly. I have during my life had many successes large and small, from lasting to ephemeral. I even garnered some bit of celebrity. I don't have any memory that I cherish. I imagine as I go forward new experiences will also hold little sway on me.

I have no memories that brings up positive emotions even knowing at those times I was of a positive mindset and enjoying them. My memories are like looking at someone else's photo album. I see the evidence of happiness but am disconnected from it like i never attended the party. 

My favourite thing to do (not too often) is to go through the photo album of my Bible study group friends when I was in North Carolina for 4-and-a-half years. Before 2009. The friends' pictures were paired with a heartfelt message from each of them. I miss them, some of them have moved to different locations in the USA. I have moved back to Canada since then.
