Birthday present for my neighbor 50+
Heya I need an present for my neighbor, my neighbors birthday is next week and since our family is really good with him and he also often took care of me when I needed help, my mother suggested that I should make a present for him but he is getting 50 and I don't know what to get for him. I hope someone has an idea.
@JustLeana
hi Leana, I always think a book is a good present. If you buy one that you read and you think he will like, it can lead to a deeper connection and you two can discuss the book in the future.
just one possibility…
@walkalot it does Sound good, I only need to find one he might like.
Thank you ^-^
@JustLeana
what do you know about him?
@JustLeana
So kind of you to spend time in getting a thoughtful gift for him
Would he like a customized music playlist?
Hi Leana, very thoughtful of you to think of getting him something special for his birthday!!! You are a very caring person.
I think making something is a great idea. Do you have something that you make on a regular basis and enjoy doing? For example if you’re a painter, singer, poet, writer, baker (so many options here) gifting one of the things that you have made that is meaningful to you will be very meaningful to him.
if that doesn’t resonate I would think about the following: I wouldn’t focus on his age (but maybe no tickle me Elmo‘s). I would think about what you know about him. For example someone who likes to watch birds might like birdseed or a birdfeeder. Somebody who likes to watch movies may like a gift card to a movie, a streaming subscription or the gift of you taking him to the movies!
do you have any memories of things that you did with him when you were younger? If so, maybe a gift of spending time together doing one of those things again. For example my nephew just gifted me a trip to the zoo with him. It was absolutely lovely.
any gift you give him will be meaningful. It will be meaningful that you thought of him, and that’s very special. Even just visiting with him when you deliver the gift is some thing that he will love because it shows you reciprocate his feelings toward you and appreciate that he’s in your life. AND, that you don’t spend time with him because you have to you spend time with him because you want to. ❤️❤️❤️
you have a precious heart that is a gift in itself.
@JustLeana
How about a fitness watch?
He would be able to track his sleep, heart rate, spo2 lvls, and track exercise too. The watch would show him time, remind him of your family and might help him to motivate to be healthy too. And he would wear it 24 x 7.
@JustLeana Hello, You can gift an audiobook of his interest subject or meditation audios if he likes it.
I hope it helps.
