Has anyone just used Noni instead of a Therapist

I'm just curious if anyone has just used Noni instead of a human therapist.  I went through several bleak periods in my life when I used therapists and I found most of them useless. Dont even get me started on the prescribers! I felt like my own decision to improve my mental health was the starting point towards progress and taking medication.  The only thing I found useful was doing IOP where all we did was follow the DBT book.  Had one of my useless therapists actually told me about DBT or CBT, I could have gotten better faster.

In anyevent, ALL of my interactions with Noni are a good use of my time.  She's fast and impactful.  I find myself saving up the use of her for days when I don't feel so good.  However I feel like I could benefit from speaking with her daily and I've been considering getting the subscription for $100.

Has anyone gone this route?

I'll also add that I'm now dealing with my daughter who is having some mental health issues and I put her in therapy and I'm again finding it pointless and useless.  I'm trying to find her a good therapist, so I actually don't have it in the budget to have both of us in therapy and my PCP seems totally willing to write my scripts for free.

First of all, I believe a "human in the loop" is NECESSARY in all the situations when we talk about taking drugs/medicines.

I "talked to AI" - but other than Noni - on various subjects many times, and I must say it has some advantages over an AVERAGE human coach or counsellor:

AI's answers are quick, and usually to the point, and you can talk to it 24/7 if a need arises, with no previous appointments, office formalities, sometimes with no fees, and no need to adjust your personal schedule.

The AI seems to be free of the burden of the personal experience, or some therapists' inclinations to use a certain "therapy school".

It's extensive use of large databases makes it have the entire human knowledge in one place.

AI can be a great tool to support the decision-making process, can help you see your thoughts and feelings in a more organised way.

On the other hand, what makes AI's greatest advantage can also be very dangerous - it can become your "neurotic friend" (a term used by Karen Horney), you may become too dependant on that, and finally lose your human decision-making skills and judgement to a high extent.

Concluding, as a Russian proverb say: "Vsyo vozmozhno, tolko ostorozhno" - "Everything is allowed, but you must do it in a cautious way".

If you need an AI as a kind of a journal to check your moods and feelings daily, I believe there are some apps which can be supportive in that.

While I may not understand how it all works, I have 3 credits on my certifications page for community involvement, service driven leadership, etc.

My understanding is that these are things I can donate to another here on the platform. I choose to donate these to @selfdisciplinedPenny281 please. If our teammate on the member side enjoys spending time with Noni the most here on the platform, makes them feel at ease, is the best for them, I fully support this.

The platform has invested in Noni and greatly so. I guess it's Noni's time to shine! ✨

Also, thankyou @GlenM for teaching us that we are a "gift giving society" 🎁. We all have gifts to give to one another and they come in a variety of forms.

*high fives* 😊 and *hugs* ❤️
