Do you feel that our expectations about the future get better when we age and so why or why not?

I believe it depends on the person more than it depends on their age though age can be a factor too. 

I just think it’s a bit of a less factor when other factors such as the actual person/people or type of person/people and/or their personality are considered. 

As for why, bc I don’t believe age, though it is a factor, is not as big of a factor in things like this and other things as well as other factors are. 

For instance, if you asked multiple 30 year olds their expectations for the future, you’d probably get some positive, optimistic, hopeful answers while some other answers would be the opposite of that bc just all the people you asked the same question to are 30 doesn’t mean they’re all same. Since they’re all different, so will their answers to the same question. 

PS: @amiablePeace77: This question goes directly to you my friend, did you forget to put the word if before “so why” or did you intentionally do that on purpose?? Noticed that word was missing so I was wondering and thought I’d ask :) 

Not really l have allways felt deppressed l dont think it will change

Life's condition is an uncertain thing. I think we will go through ups and downs. So, it does not depend on age for a better future. It always changes.  

@amiablePeace77 They keep changing depending on what phase of life we're in or what things we are dealing with. Good things make one hopeful and some bad circumstances make one fearful<3

Managing expectations is something that comes with time and experience so I guess we do learn to have steady achievable expectations with age.

My youth had a lot more hope for the future, that the world would become a cleaner, kinder place. (In a few small ways the world is kinder, particularly to racial & sexual minorities, but otherwise no.)

My autumn years have a lot more realism for the future, that post-industrial civilization is headed for collapse and our descendants are being screwed by our collective failures.

Which of those expectations counts as "better"?
