I quit my new job😢

I quit my new job that I just got 2 weeks ago. I just can't do it anymore. I thought it would work out but I just can't handle the stress. I was told there would be more staff but a coworker said to me- did she (the unit manager) tell you there would be just 2 of you on nights? I said no she didn't and when she interviewed me and I complained about that being one of the reasons I left my last job, she said oh 2 isn't safe there has to be more. So I think she didn't tell the truth just so she could fill the position. But once I heard that, all the anxiety came back. So I don't know how this is all going to work out. I'm tired of worrying but I need a job without the level of stress my line of work brings anymore. Then earlier I saw on the news about the drummer from Foo Fighters died unexpectedly at 50 years old. Very sad to see that. Anyway, you guys on here are the only ones that know I quit my new job 🤦‍♀️

Nothing is worse at a job then betrayal and finding out that the same conditions which made you leave the last job you will have to face in the new job. It must have triggered all the memories of what happened at the last job, hugs. I'm glad you became aware of what you can handle and what not in time before it became worse and hope you find a less stressful job soon. It must be tough to keep this as a secret, know we are here for you, hugs.

It's a very sad story about the drummer indeed.

I'm so sorry to hear that, mostly since I also quit my job in a contact center months ago due to burnout (Tight schedule, many callers would tell me they didn't understand me, feeling lost and useless in my tasks, etc), so I know how it feels... But mostly, in the following days, I worked assisting elementary and high school students online with homeworks (In areas such as English, Spanish, history and algebra) just for initiative, which was quite gratifying.

If you consider you have an ability you'd like to make use for, you can also apply as a tutor on some sites, or also, when considering applying for a formal job, in case you experience those issues, you can try contacting HR or a psychologist, because of course you deserve a good environment. Try checking the conditions of the jobs (Schedules, and staff requirements) on the pages you apply for if, of course, you want to apply online.

Regarding the case of Taylor Hawkins, I know how sad it is too, but also he was great enough to give a legacy with his music, everytime we listen to him drums, it will feel as if he still was with us... It also reminds me how I like Nirvana even though I was born after Kurt Cobain died, it is because he marked history with his music, and the legacy left in art and works is one of the greatest values someone can have, because by that they leave their signature to eternity, remember that people don't die when they pass away, they die when they're forgotten.

I hope you're doing much better now and, by heart, I know you will get the job you deserve one day, sending much hugs as well ^w^ *Bear hug for you*
