What a good question you ask!
In response I'd say to satisfy a desire perhaps.
I guess sometimes it's wonderful but other times a nuisance when we feel this way.

Good question, I personally am not longing for anything. Guess I'm not normal

I think the longing comes not from the person, but the longing for the person we were during that time. Know you still have that person inside of you.
