Hey Tiny, Back in childhood we used to make our own toys and games it was all fun. 😊 Something very popular to buy from outside may be a water game toy Or an Electronic tetris device, I guess. We used to get very excited over it. Very few had the tetris handheld device and we almost look forward to it as a smartphone Haha!

@Tinywhisper11 I grew up poor. Dirt was my favorite toy lol. However I did love the outdoors so much that on the rare occasion I did get a Christmas present it was usually some type of survival gear. The most used one my dad got me was when I was 8. I got a hiking backpack all loaded up with a tent, cooking gear, a little survival tool kit, carbineers, high quality rope, a fancy expensive compass and a canteen. This was also the most meaningful gift I've ever received. I was always "running away" into the woods alone. The fact my dad accepted that as who I was meant a lot to me. The fact he supported my dreams and wanted to give me the tools to do it safer that I was doing on my own. That meant a lot. He also taught me how to use a lot of it better than I was learning from books lol. That Christmas present saved my life more times than I can count and changed it in more ways than I'll ever fully understand.

I think the Power Rangers were really popular. Ninja Turtles, X-men. All the anime toys back in my day looked weird so we didn't buy them but definitely Power Rangers.
