Managing pain while caring for others
Hi, I'm a single mum who works full-time (I have to) and after an intense week at work last week, my back has totally gone. I have to march on and look after my daughter this weekend, do the housework, cook, do the laundry. Just in pain all the time. I'll try to slow it down, but not much choice. Just wanted to share so I might start feeling a little less overwhemlmed. Big love to everyone.
@JenMicca It's crucial to prioritize your own well-being, even with a busy schedule. Take short breaks throughout the day to rest and stretch your back. Apply heat or cold packs to alleviate the pain. Make sure to get enough sleep and nourish your body with healthy meals.
Hey mama, you are doing absolutely amazing, very proud of you😘
Take short breaks, turn up some music 🎶, breathe through some fresh air, take a short stroll, things will get better with a positive mindset you strong mama💪🏻. Always here and happy to help if you need to talk ❤️

Look at you supermom! Pat yourself VERY GENTLY on the back for holding it all down like a boss. Foam roller, stretching, some pain meds if necessary, but remember to take care of yourself first. Superman can't save the day with a chunk of kryptonite in his back, so don't go thinking you need to do it all.
Does the housework really need to be done this weekend? Is your daughter old enough to lend a hand? Can you ininvita friend over for some help? I'm just saying you don't need to do it alone and you probably don't need to do it all either. NEED being the operative word here.
Take it from a single dad of 4 kids who supports his nephew and elderly father as well. It's ok to veg out watching Black Mirror or Disney+ for family time. You got this!
Thanks so much. Your msg brought a tear to my eye. I know I'm not alone. Sounds like you know the feeling. I just want to make sure my daughter has the best childhood possible (she's just turned 14) - but I know I also have to.work on how I treat/look after myself. Sometimes it is easier to look after others. Time for me to start looking at that a little I think. Hope you have a fab day!
@JenMicca
I'm very sorry that you are struggling with this. It is very important to take care of yourself as not being able to do so, might cause more severe consequences. You are doing the best you can and everyone has their limits. Do you think you could take a vacation day or two at work when you can? You seem to be working really hard and I hope that your boss can understand the issues and complexity that goes on. Even if you can't, make sure to rest yourself and take small breaks when you can. It's important for the physical and mental health of a person. Make sure to take care of yourself, giving yourself nutrition, drink water, and sleep well when you can. You need it. I hope you have blessings and a blessed day/night/whatever time it is for you. Please take care. ❤️

Hi micca! First of all, I want to say that you're doing an incredible job as a single mom, juggling work and taking care of your daughter. It's completely understandable that you're feeling overwhelmed with the back pain and all the responsibilities. Remember, it's okay to take a moment for yourself, even if it's just a small break to breathe and relax. You deserve some self-care and rest too! Don't hesitate to ask for help if needed. You are strong and capable, and there's no doubt that you'll find a way to navigate through these tough times. Sending you big love and support! ❤️
