I am sorry you are feeling defeated. You said betrayal and there are so many versions of that and each has their own items.

I am glad couples therapy is helping some. Depending on whatever has happened remember it is never going back to what was but needs to be rebuilt as something new.

being betrayed and there are several forms is hard to get past... for those who do we still remember and the pain / questions etc linger.

It is not that we must be heart broken forever even when it can feel like that. I found it is rebuilding my picture of what is and what was as well.   We cannot go back to what ever the before looked like.   I became stronger and confident in myself.  It prepared me for other things in life that have not gone as planned either.

Betrayal cuts deeply, leaving wounds that can feel impossible to heal. But please remember, your pain is valid, and healing is possible. Take things one moment at a time, surround yourself with supportive people, and don’t hesitate to seek professional help if needed.

You didn’t deserve what happened, and your feelings matter. Be gentle with yourself, allow space for your emotions, and know that trust can be rebuilt. You’ve got this.
