As a woman, I feel this is the most difficult phase of my life.

I'm a 36yo who's switching from a 9-5 to freelancing. Introverted (God knows if I'm truly that way or my circumstances has made me one), single, having no stamina left to go out and socialize into a materialistic world. At the same time, I'm so tired of trying again and again to manage myself (my routines).

I feel sleepy all the time or binge watch shows that I don't even remember the next day. This is the most messed up version of mine that I'm witnessing rn. As if there's no future ahead and the past isn't important enough to be looked at. I lost my mother 10 years ago and I'm missing her badly these days. I'm missing all the family members I lost in past decade. They were the ones who actually cared for me. Rest of my family is extremely passive about me. I'm almost invisible to them all. And this makes me question my existence my life, and above all it makes me question the ways of God.

Sure, It'd be great to connect and share. But really don't know rn how to articulate. Things are messy and I don't know where to start and what exactly do I want to say. And since we both are just members (not listeners) so can't really have any idea how we can connect via chat.

@agreeableDime6679 I don't know if this will make you feel any better, but you are not alone. I'm 40 but in a very similar situation as you, and with zero energy and stamina. Every interaction at work feels as painful as if someone were smacking me on the head. And at the same time I feel very lonely. Thinking of you, sending you a big hug.

Thank you dear 🤗. Your response means a lot. It's probably the midlife crisis that we're going through and I sometimes feel that there's no permanent or long term solution for what we're dealing with.

Hope things get better for us all. We just need to keep prioritizing and loving ourselves more.

Btw I had a haircut today 🙂. So feeling fresh and better overall 🙂

Lots of prayers and good wishes to you too😇🤗

Thank you Adam. I wish we could have a one on one conversation through chat. But since we're both members (not listeners), so can't really text you right away.

@agreeableDime6679 I am 23 and I am going through the same phase. though people who care about me are still there but I feel this is the most messed up version of me. I do not deserve this care. I am not able to get time from my schedule Sometimes just want to cry and not able to because know that is not going to solve anything. I have distanced myself a lot from people who practically knew me half my life and this really hurts how I am not able to control anything in my life.

@optimisticPomegranate3875 I feel sorry to hear that you are going through the same at such a young age. I wish things get better for us all. We all deserve love, care, respect and a peaceful life. And as we both agreed "it's a phase". It will surely end up and we'll start loving ourselves again soon. We'll start living to the fullest soon, I believe so.

Sending you a big hug 🤗 and lots of love.

Thanks so much for asking your question so loud and clear. Don't wait for relatives to come and ask if you'd like them to care for you ... you'd have to find out first what you can do for them to even show some interest ... lol

At least you know for sure they exist, but I wouldn't put my hopes on any gods just waiting around to make life easier for me. Be a bit more realistic and look at Mother Nature, how she manages to run the whole show each and every day without any help from any gods. That's the real world you like to be part of ... so get in tune with that lady, she has evolutionary powers and can pick you up with a fresh new spirit for life - just let her give you a helping hand to remove the fog from your mind ... please give that a try!

@agreeableDime6679 im really sorry to know your gldealing with such things, and i can realte so much because its very similar to what im going through.

I just responded to another thread that discussed how we feel about our place in the world right now and if we are where we thought we would be.

I can relate to being tired of tring and feel introverted and wondering if thats who i am or if its how i became as a result of the long line of disappointments , i too dont feel involved with my family and friends are becoming memories more and more every year. Im Trying to go freelance for the past 8 years or so and i havent work for me yet, so gongratulations on this step.

Thank you so much for this inspiring thread and i wish you all the best in your journey.

I second to what you've said. I'm turning 37 in January, single, and get exhausted from work more easily than before. Ever since Covid, I've basically stayed home on my days off, going out into the public puts me on edge and my energy will drain more quickly.

I've been taking naps after work, and during my days off. Just feeling sleepy all the time too.

My parents have been asking me to take care of myself lately. Personal hygiene, eating more healthy, buy new clothes and change up my wardrobe, work towards in being more financially stable.. etc. My parents aren't exactly rushing me to get married, but they often tell me that they wish there will be a man in my life, to take care of me, to be at my side in my future; as they cannot be with me to the end.

Yeah. Totally relatable. I wish things become easy for us all. This generation of ours (especially women of our age group) seems to suffer more than the younger and the previous generations. We were not trained for a fast-pace hustling lifestyle initially. We adapted this lifestyle gradually. And the values and morales that we were brought up with aren't usually taken into account in the practical world anymore. Probably these are the reasons we feel exhausted.

But whatever it is, I truly wish that we get over it soon.

Lots of prayers for you too @Jaeteuk

Hi @agreeableDime6679,

just read your message and really wanted to reply back. I’m also in my mid 30s and have almost lost the will to go on… but I have found that journaling really helps. I’ve tried cognitive behavioural therapy and my therapist encourages me to journal which has made me realise my thought / emotional patterns and tiggers. It does take time and you have to persevere but I think it helps.

Also, I’ve been listening to the podcast Happy Place by Fearne Cotton and have found that very inspiring and helps to make you feel less alone.

I’d love to chat to you but I’m a member too so I’m not sure how.

sometimes I guess all it takes is the determination to make a small change, stick to it and persevere and the first steps are probably the hardest as well as persevering!

im sorry I’m not sure if what I said helps, it’s just what I found to be helpful!

I hope you find a great support network here ❤️.

Thank you @Greentrees2325 for your response ❤️

I'd second you regarding the habit of journaling. I used to do it alot as a hobby earlier. Then due to busy routines I stopped writing about my days. But I've restarted journaling my thoughts and emotional patterns once again now. Hopefully it'll make things better.

I haven't yet listened to the podcast you mentioned, but I'll definitely listen to it soon.

Hope things get better for us all.

Thank you dear ❤️
