...See more Hi all, I'm 19 years old, female, and in college. I'm feeling kinda bummed lately over my friend situation. In high school I had a large group of close friends, but in the last two years since we graduated, we've really grown apart. This is natural, but it still sucks. When I try to make plans with them, no one wants to go. It really hurts my feelings. Many of my friends have made new close friends in college, however, I have been rather unlucky in that way. I made some great friends my freshman year, but they were all foreign exchange students. Those that were not, graduated or I am not super close with. My sophomore year was split between a transfer to a different school for the fall semester, and then transferring back to my home school... Just to be sent home this spring for corona. Needless to say, I'm in a weird place where I'm kind of on my own for the first time in 8 years. Meeting new people has been hard, as things are still closed, and my University has turned the entire fall semester online. I'll be home with my parents until January, while what friends I do have will be back at their campuses. (the ones from my home school are in the majors that have some in person classes,. Ie chemistry and biology). Any one else felt like this? How did you make new friends, starting from scratch? I haven't had to do that in so long.
