...See more Hello everyone I've been involved with martial arts for a long time, but i recently had to take a break because life got busy. Now that i have enough time to get back into it, i can't for some reason. I get breathless and sick feeling every time i think about it, even though this is something i really enjoy. I managed to go once, but i couldn't preform to the best of my ability because every time a drill or an excercise got too hard, my stupid thoughts would convince me i'm not good enough, so despite my best efforts i just end up doing badly. Does anyone have any tips for dealing with or getting rid of feelings like this regarding sports? Thank you for reading.
My brain loves a good panic (not really. help?)

...See more Hello all :) Even though exams are over and it's christmas break, i still feel overwhelmed and like something bad is about to happen. Which is unreasonable, considering it's Christmas and there's nothing wrong. I've been experiencing anxious 'episodes(?)' as well where it gets hard to breath and my heartrate increases for around 30ish minutes. But i don't want to tell people because there's no reason for me to feel the way i do, and i also haven't been daignosed with an anxiety disorder, so i'm probably overreacting. I'm just sort of confused and constantly on edge and I've really got no idea what's going on, so does anyone have thoughts or advice? Sorry this paragraph was so lengthy, haha.
