I am a UK citizen living in Canada and have two adult daughters. I have a trauma history and was brought up in an adverse environment. As a result I have suffered throughout my life through inabilities to connect with others and the effects of that. This has led to misuse of alcohol, depression, low self-esteem, isolation, loosing jobs, and broken relationships. I am an Alumnus of a recovery home for addicts (2010). Since then (for the last 12 years) I have worked to reverse this situation. One of the most important skills I have learned is how to listen and connect. Because of these skills I have asked to join Seven Cups of Tea as a listener.
